Next week I will be sending home a permission slip regarding our field trip on Nov. 7th to Golden View Elementary for an author visit from the book, Operation Redwood by S. Terrell French, which we are reading in class. The author will sign copies of her book during this visit. If you would like to have your child have a signed copy of the book please purchase the book in advance and have them bring it to the field trip. Walk Through CA

Hello Families, Thank you for taking the time to talk with me last week at your child's conference. I'm impressed at the support you provide for your child's education. Tomorrow is our 'field trip' for Walk Through CA. It's a great reenactment of CA history. It will start at 8:45 and go until 11:30. If you are available and would like to attend, even for a short while, please stop by our room during that time. The only schedule that will change because of this 'trip' is the lack of morning music. Flutes will still attend music in the afternoon. If you are looking for our class in the afternoon we will be in Mrs. Perring's room next door while they do their field trip in our room. This is also Red Ribbon Week. Students should wear red on Wed, crazy socks, shoes, hair on Thur, and favorite sport team on Fri.

Kids got sticky today making dough maps of California.  We have been focusing on the geographical regions, highest and lowest parts, and major bodies of water.
